TMC Student Leaders Expose “Dadagiri” Culture After Suspension
Two recently suspended Trinamool Congress student leaders have spoken out against what they describe as a pervasive “dadagiri,” or bullying, culture within the Trinamool Congress student wing (TMCP). Rajanya Halder and Prantik Chakraborty’s statements follow disciplinary action taken against them and shine a light on concerning allegations of intimidation and harassment within the organization.
“Many Like Manojit Mishra,” Claim Suspended Leaders
Referring to a previous incident involving another student leader, Manojit Mishra, Halder and Chakraborty claimed this kind of behavior is widespread. They allege that many others within the TMCP engage in similar “dadagiri” tactics, creating a hostile environment for many students.
Students Call for Change Within TMCP
The two suspended leaders are now advocating for change within the TMCP, urging the party leadership to address this alleged culture of bullying and intimidation. Their statements to News18 have brought the issue to the forefront, raising questions about the internal dynamics of the student wing and the potential impact on student politics in West Bengal.
