Bihar Voter List Sees Surge in Booth-Level Agents: BJP & RJD Lead the Way

Bihar’s political landscape is heating up as the state undergoes a voter list revision. Since the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) began on June 24th, there’s been a notable 13% rise in the number of Booth Level Agents (BLAs), jumping from 1.38 lakh to 1.56 lakh. This surge highlights the increasing engagement of political parties in ensuring accurate and updated voter rolls.

BJP and RJD Account for 65% of New Booth-Level Agents

The two dominant parties in Bihar, the BJP and RJD, are at the forefront of this increase. Together, they account for a significant 65% of the newly appointed BLAs. This demonstrates their commitment to grassroots mobilization and underscores the importance they place on voter outreach ahead of upcoming elections.

What This Means for Bihar Voters

The increased presence of BLAs signifies a greater focus on ensuring every eligible voter is registered and inaccuracies in the voter list are addressed. This active participation from political parties contributes to a more robust and transparent electoral process, ultimately benefiting the voters of Bihar.
